Last year - 2007 - Golden Ark donated, with the help of Burlington Coat Factory, over $1500.00 worth of boots & coats, as well as hats & gloves, to several needy Taylor School children. This year we hope to surpass that mark! Please help us reach that goal.
* UPDATE* - Thanks to all of you, and your generous donations, we were able to donate, once again with the help of Burlington Coat Factory, almost $2000.00 worth of boots & coats in 2008.
Current statistics show that almost 60% of the students enrolled in Taylor Public Schools are at or below poverty level. Most of these families cannot afford proper Winter clothing, and as a result, children are sent to school without the proper coat or footwear to protect themselves. Your generous donations help us to ensure that at least some of these children are better prepared for the cold.

Cub Scout Pack 818 meets on Tuesday evenings in our Hall. We are one of, if not the, largest packs in the Huron District. These boys are our future and need our help and support.
Scouting makes a direct and positive impact on our community by teaching positive values and leadership skills to youth. Join the individuals, corporations, and foundations who support Scouting's mission. Cub Scouting means "doing." Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings. Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a boy's sense of belonging.
